Incident Report – Student threatens security officer in parking lot

Jan. 28

Security officer Luis Araiza was threatened, harassed and insulted by a student in parking lot 1B. Upon confronting a vehicle where he heard aggressively loud conversation, Officer Araiza encountered a “highly agitated and volatile” male student, according to the report. Security Director Erik Fricke came to aid the heated situation.

Feb. 3

At 7:30 p.m., an East Campus Cafeteria staff member confronted a student about the mass amounts of sugar packets he was taking. Upon asking him to take only what he needed, the student refused, and left the building.

Feb. 4

At 11:30 a.m., Sandrine Krul called from the Life Fitness Center regarding a student who was feeling sick. The student was diagnosed as suffering from low blood pressure, according to the report. Security called 911. The student reportedly fainted multiple times before being taken by an ambulance to Cottage Hospital.
