The power on the main campus at City College went out due to wind and rain at 7 a.m. on March 21.

Interim Superintendent-President Kindred Murillo sent a school-wide email at 7:10 a.m. notifying everyone of the power outage.

The power is currently out at the Santa Barbara campus and in various parts of our community,” Murillo said. “Southern California Edison has not given a project of when power will be restored. We are encouraging employees to work from home and for instructors to move your classes to remote.”

Surrounding the main campus there are fallen trees and power lines causing police cars and fire trucks to flood the outskirts of the campus.
