Review – East Campus Snack Shop

City College’s snack shop on the East Campus offers students a quick, decent meal for a relatively cheap price.

The snack shop offers more than just snacks, and has a selection of meals that can satisfy a number of appetites. Located outside of the cafeteria, the snack shack has what you’d expect from a school cafeteria like burritos, burgers, fries and chicken fingers, among others.

One thing the snack shop has that most other eateries on campus don’t is a selection of seafood. If you’re in the mood for that signature coastal meal of fish and chips, stop by the snack shop and pick some up.

As for price, the snack shop is a good place to get a meal for under $5. The chicken burrito, offered around $4, is a large meal and will fill you up. It’s relatively greasy and cheesy, so if you’re into watching your figure you probably should pass it up. But if you’re down with the calories, dig in. The burritos come with two toppings, which you can choose for yourself (salsa, sour cream, the normal fixings you’d find on a burrito).

A good thing about the snack shop is its convenience. Most students don’t have a lot of time to eat between classes, and the snack shop usually has much smaller lines than the cafeteria. It’s also centrally located on East campus, making it a short walk from most buildings.

The snack shop also has some drinks such as sodas, teas, and Naked Juice. Pick one up with your meal, and the price is looking somewhere in the $6-$8 range.

The service is always very friendly too. If what you’re looking for isn’t already ready, it’s usually done within a few minutes.

The snack shop is a cheap, fast way to get a meal you’ll enjoy on East Campus.
