Mismatched fight in stadium bathroom

Tuesday, March 15, 2:12 p.m.

A female instructor reported to Campus Security that she felt harassed by an older male student during her class in the Earth and Biological Sciences Building. She said in report the student had stayed after class and made statements that made her feel uncomfortable. She also said he repeated the same questions many times while not observing her personal space. According to the report the student isn’t being viewed as a threat and was spoken to by an officer.

According to Campus Security reports from last semester the same male was the subject of an almost identical complaint by a different instructor.

 

Wednesday, March 16, 4:40 p.m.

A male student reported to Campus Security that he was attacked in the bathroom at the top of La Playa Stadium. The student said in the report that he smelled “un-smoked” marijuana as he used the bathroom. He said he was grabbed as he left and attacked by three males who punched and kicked him while shouting “west side.”

According to the report the victim had noticeable swelling and bruising. An officer called Santa Barbara Police Department but the victim refused to wait.

 

Thursday March 17, 2 p.m.

Someone called Campus Security and reported a fight in Lot 2A. According to the report an officer who was in the area and talked with three guys who were standing by a vehicle who said that they had been just playing around.

 

Tuesday- March 22- 3:23 p.m.

A female UCSB student reported to Campus Security that she was harassed while visiting a friend in the cafeteria. According to the report the victim was meeting a friend when she noticed a man who had been harassing her for the past seven months, and calling her on the phone up to sixty times a day. She said that when he noticed her in the cafeteria he tried talking to her, but she refused and he became angry. The victim left the scene and filed a report with officers. The situation is under investigation
