The second annual Martin Luther King Jr. Talent Show will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Victoria Hall.
Sponsored by the Endowment Youth Committee (EYC), the event will consist of four categories – poetry, song, dance and speech. Although the deadline to officially register is today, the organizers are not discouraging late entries.
Contestants are eligible to win cash prizes for first and second place in each of the four categories. There will also be a Special Grand Prize for Best All Around Act.
Admission is free and City College students are invited to attend.
Information will be available at the Poetry Club reading this evening from 6:30 to 7:30 in the El Luria Library, or by contacting the EYC at (805) 730-3347, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
