The City College women’s tennis team looked sharp in its second home appearance of the year on Thursday.
The lady Vaqs knocked off Ventura 8-1 in a WSC match at Pershing Park after a previous loss to WSC rival Santa Monica.
The Vaqueros (4-2, 2-1) swept the last five singles matches by a combined game count of 60-6.
It was the third win in four outings for SBCC.

The team’s next home game will pit them against Bakersfield on March 10.
To content for a conference title the Vaqueros can ill afford another loss.
