The City College softball team began its season with an 8-0 rout of Glendale on the road Feb. 5.
The game was called in the fifth-inning due to the eight-run rule.

Kailey Snyder threw a two-hitter with nine strikeouts.
Jasmyne Holmes, a sophomore from Dos Pueblos High, belted a two-run homerun in the third inning, she finished with three RBIs.
Joan Cannon was 3-for-3 with a walk and her twin sister Laura was 2-for-3. Snyder and Carly Smith each finished the game with triples.
The team’s first home game will be at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 against Bakersfield.
