The City College cheerleading squad concluded its competition season by winning the national United Spirit association dance/drill competition at the Anaheim convention center March 27-28.
The Ladies put it all together in their fourth competition of the year defeating both Fullerton College and Riverside College. This marked the end of a grueling season that started in august at the beginning of football season, spanned through basketball season and ended with competitions in the spring.
“We had five returning cheerleaders from the year before,” said coach Coral De Alba, “they pretty much led the team.”
Tryouts for next year’s squad will be held Saturday April 25, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. in the Sports Pavilion. recruit
