The City College men’s volleyball team split their two game series this past Saturday at Santa Monica College squaring off against Palomar College and San Diego City College.
Middle blocker Kyle Benskin recorded 12 kills in the first match, leading the Vaqueros to a four-game match victory over Palomar. Middle blocker Cody Zoesch and opposite hitter Justin Hertlein also produced 10 kills a piece in the opening match with Palomar, with Zoesch racking up a .625 hitting percentage.

City College stumbled in their second match, losing to San Diego in three straight games 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.
The Vaqueros next match is 6 p.m. on Feb. 23. at Irvine Valley.
