All City College campuses will be closed on Tuesday, March 14 due to expected atmospheric rainfall hitting Southern California this week.

The National Weather Association issued a flood watch as widespread rainfall will begin Tuesday morning. Southern California residents are urged to stay clear of rivers, creeks, and low land points until the rainfall slows.

Interim Superintendent-President Kindred Murillo sent a schoolwide cancellation 7 p.m. on Monday.

“For the safety of our students and employees, Santa Barbara City College’s Main, Wake, Schott campuses and Orfalea Early Learning Center will be closed,” Murillo said in an email. “Exams and assignments due will be rescheduled.”

Other schools in the area are issuing closures and rescheduling events and activities for Wednesday, March 15.
