City College landed in first place on RateMyProfessors’s Top 25 Junior and Community Colleges list.

RateMyProfessor.com is a hub for students to rate their professor or college experiences using a five-point scale. The website boasts hits from “more than 4 million college students each month.”

The  “2012 – 2013 Top Lists” are catalogs of all the college and professor ratings from the website. The data is put into categories like the best university professor, best junior college professor and the “hottest” professor.

“Ratemyprofessor.com is an open forum and there’s no moderator,” said Superintendent-President Dr. Lori Gaskin.  “It’s just the students speaking from their hearts.”

The website also allows students to rate the colleges they’ve attended, based on factors like location, food, happiness and clubs.

City College tied with Walla Walla Community College for the 2013 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence in March 2013. Walla Walla Community College was not listed on the websites best colleges list.
