CD Review- Born to Fly

“Born To Fly,” Sarah Sample‘s much-anticipated third record, is all that was expected and more.

Released earlier this month by independent record label, Ramona PQ Records, “Born To Fly,” although only a small EP, wows with its raw storytelling, Blue-Ridge-Mountain style ballads, and soaring vocals. With more than nine musicians showcased, this little record proves to be a big deal.

Perhaps one of the most notable songs on the album is, “Good Life,” co-written by Folk/Americana musician, . Filled with poetic lyrics supported by uniquely choreographed melodies, “Good Life” guarantees only a fraction of the musical experience listeners are sure to enjoy throughout the EP. Winner of the Folk Fest Songwriters Showcase in 2008, these folk-singers are worth keeping an eye on.

“Born To Fly” is available online at www.sarahsample.com.
