Moorpark out rebounded City College 49-22 and routed the Vaqueros 71-59 at the Sports Pavilion on Saturday.
The game was close at the end of the first half. City College only trailed 37-34 at the break, but wound up shooting 37 percent from the floor for the game.
Sophomore Chris Vines led the Vaqueros with 23 points and shot 70 percent from the field. He also grabbed seven rebounds.
The Vaqueros are on Bye week as of today, but they’re scheduled to travel Saturday to Woodland Hills where they’re slated to play L.A. Pierce at 5 p.m.
