The Vaqueros clawed the Eagles 15-12 in a 12-inning marathon Thursday behind a jolt from Steven Keller and Zach Pecyna at LA Mission.
Pecyna went 2-4 with four RBIs and a home run. The first home run on the season for Pecyna came in the seventh inning and gave City College a 9-5 advantage.
Steven Keller stole the show in the ninth inning when he scored the game-tying run and drove in the eventual game-winning run in the 12th inning.
This marked the longest game of the season, totaling four hours in length. The Vaqs’, now with a record of 7-3, next game is 2 p.m. tomorrow at Oxnard.
