This week’s crime: Man brings machete to horticulture garden

Feb. 20 – 2:30 p.m.

A student reported her bicycle pedals missing. The student alleges that the pedals were stolen sometime between 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2 p.m. Thursday while the bicycle was parked on a bike rack near the Sports Pavilion. The pedals were valued at $50. 

Feb. 26 – 4:30 p.m.

Campus Security was notified of a man smoking in the horticulture garden. When security arrived and made contact with the suspect, he was found holding a machete which he said he would use to chop down bamboo. Security confiscated the weapon and escorted the man off-campus. Security is currently investigating whether or not the man is a student at City College.
