Everything Keller Williams touches turns to music. There isn’t a physical object on earth that he can’t make a song out of, and his recent album “ODD” is just more evidence that there isn’t anything he can’t do as a musician.
“ODD” is versatile. It has a track on here for everyone, blurring the line between musical genres such as bluegrass, rock, folk and hip-hop. It doesn’t matter what the mood is but by the third song, you will feel light as a helium balloon and you might even catch yourself dancing on your tiptoes.
The song “Doobie in My Pocket” has all of the elements of a typical Keller experience, with hilarious lyrics driven by an insane acoustic guitar. The rest of the tracks are a menagerie of surprises.
If you’re looking for a passionate or deeply poetic album, this one might not take you there. It’s goofy and uplifting with simple, positive lyrics. It’s definitely worth a try.
