Known for their days in the Los Angeles-based hip-hop group Living Legends, rappers Grouch and Eligh are showing the new breed that seasoned veterans are still running the show.
Released April 21, their new album dubbed “Say G&E” is sure to show non-believers that thought and consideration actually goes into what these rappers have to say.
Songs like “Show Me the Way” and “Comin’ Up,” featuring Mistah Fab, help tell the story of their hard-earned rap journeys.
Grouch raps hit harder throughout the album, mainly because some of Eligh’s flows sound broken. His cadence is too fast, making it hard to fully appreciate.
The messages in most of their songs are sentimental, but these rappers also know how to have a good time. A song like “Boom!” featuring Slug, is perfect for bumpin’ on that Sunday afternoon beach cruise-with the shades on, top down and hydraulics, if available.
