Associated Students Senator Rose Ladanyi resigned March 24 after one year as the senate’s information and technology liaison.
“I am very sad that I had to do this but am also in very good spirits,” Ladanyi said. Ladanyi joined the senate February 2004 and has been called the senate’s voice of reason.
“She was on top of her work,” said Student Body President James Carter.
Ladanyi said she will miss the students and faculty she grew close to.
“Whether it’s the outgoing go-getter, the hard as nails voice of reason or the frazzled but always caring types, I have met and worked with some wonderful students who I think don’t realize how wonderful it is hearing their ideas,” she said.
Ladanyi said she will continue to confide in senate advisor Ann Fryslie, director of the office of student life.
“She has been an amazing woman to talk to when I’ve just needed someone to advise me,” she concluded.
