The Spring Job Fair will host about 60 business representatives today on West Campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“A lot of students might walk away with job opportunities on hand,” said Sheri Leigh, work site coordinator at the Career Center who organized the yearly event for the first time.

She said a variety of employers will answer questions about working conditions, travel opportunities and promotions.

Businesses will be there along with staff from their human resource departments, recruiters and managers. Some of the employers planning to attend include Cottage Hospital, the Los Angeles Fire department, AmeriCorps and ABC-CLIO.

Leigh said this year’s job fair grew, adding 10 more businesses. Interested students should come prepared and dress nicely, Leigh said.

All students graduating this year received a postcard, which they can bring to the fair.

Students will also have the chance to enter a drawing in which they can win a gift card worth 50 dollars from the City College bookstore.
