Editor, The Channels:
There may indeed be a grain of truth to Mr. Shepard’s article (“WANTED: Brains AND Beauty”). However, this does not give him, or any journalist, permission to stereotype the entire female population of a college. I know I am not the only reader that feels this way, and hopefully one of many to respond to this article.
There are plenty of attractive, bright men and women who attend City College. It is only a matter of having enough patience to locate them, or perhaps the problem lies in the searcher.
