A Fine Frenzy has been known for their eclectic, poetic songs that entice the listener and engage them in a sea of passion and rhythm. Their first album got rave reviews but they land a little short with their newest release, titled “Bomb in a Birdcage.”
Although it’s equipped with similar tones and mixtures, the sound is not the same and faithful fans might be a bit disappointed.
One of the better songs in the album, “Bird of the Summer,” has a very soulful piano ballad, which has a similar feel to her last album, “One Cell in the Sea.” Sadly, the newest single, “Blow Away,” falls far from blowing the listener away.
This new album is very different from anything fans might be used to, but it has a variation of musical symphonies and styles that will surely tickle your ear and yearn for more Frenzy.
