The former executive editor of the Santa Barbara News-Press is teaching for City College’s Adult Education program.

Jerry Roberts will be teaching a non-fiction writing course in addition to moderating the lecture course “As the World Turns.” Roberts returns after a positive experience with the course last semester, according to Judy Powell, public information specialist for the Adult Education program.

“He is well-versed in current events and world affairs,” Powell said. “He will be a wonderful moderator and an excellent teacher.”

“He has a long history in journalism and he is a published author. He will inspire others to enter that field as a career,” Powell said. She added that Roberts will bring a new energy to the Adult Education program and his current experience in the world of journalism will be enjoyable for students.
