Review: Twitter

Twitter is basically like your status update on Facebook. You write something worthless, meaningful, funny or whatever you like in 140 characters or less.

It’s not hard to learn how to use it. The layout is simple and you quickly learn how to navigate around on the page. For me, the hard part is coming up with something to write in just 140 characters.

People say that it’s addictive; that once you start tweeting, you’ll never stop. I’ve only used it for a couple of days, but I don’t really understand what I will use it for. I can’t see what point it has for me as an average student.

The good thing about Twitter is that you can see what happens in people’s lives. You can, for example, follow your favorite celebrity or whomever you want to know more about. People post links, updates or just random comments on Twitter.

It’s a good tool to use for advertising yourself, your personal web page or blog.

But for me this is just another social networking site among hundreds of others.
