Todd Heldoorn explains how several highly sensitive filter monitoring systems are used to check the purity of recycled waste water on Friday, April 22, at the City of Santa Barbara El Estero Waste-Water Treatment Plant, located at 520 East Yanonali Street, in Santa Barbara. The treatment plant provides the recycled water that Santa Barbara City College uses to irrigate both the east and west campus, with the exception of the campus vegetable garden.

The Administration Building’s inefficient and outdated lighting still hang from the ceilings on Friday, March 4, at City College. The lights are slated to be replaced with longer lasting eco-friendly lights that will save hundreds of thousands of dollars over time.
