Four men sit quietly in a row, their backs to the big-screen television showing the morning news. They joke amongst themselves. They pass up every opportunity to talk about themselves, unless it's about golf. These four City College golfers, all graduates of Bishop Diego High School, are focused on one thing - the SoCal Regional Championships.

Several months ago, a certain sports editor made the bold statement that Santa Barbara City College has not won much lately. He went on to say that "we need a champion." This editor's statements were proven wrong on multiple occasions, and proven correct on a few as well.

Carin Erndy comes from a long line of golfers, so it is no wonder that she picked up the sport at age three.
