City College women’s basketball rebounded from two tough overtime defeats, to trounce the Oxnard Condors 60-45 in Oxnard on Saturday.
The Vaqueros held the lead in the final two minutes in overtime losses to Moorpark and Ventura but were unable to close out each game.
The 4th quarter was once again crucial against Oxnard as the Vaq’s utilized a 12-0 run midway through the final stanza to close out the overwhelmed Condors.

“In Oxnard when we held them scoreless for the five minute stretch that shows me we’re learning,” said head coach Sandrine Krul.
Katie Randall led the Vaqueros with 12 points followed by Lauren Wells and Nikki Graham with 9 points.
The next game for the women is 7 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Sports Pavilion against Allan Hancock.
