CD Review – Metallica’s “Death Magnetic”

Jonathan Craft and Jonathan Craft

Metallica‘s latest album ” Death Magnetic” was released on Sept. 12, making Metallica the only band to ever have five straight albums debut as no. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

After Metallica’s 2003 highly critiqued release, “St. Anger,” this album is surprisingly enjoyable, with an old time Metallica feel to it.

Immediately after the first track started, it takes you back to their early days when Metallica was still widely liked.

Not all of the songs on the album are good, but fans that are looking for the classic Metallica sound with the long guitar solos will be pleased with the tracks “Cyanide” and “The Unforgiven III.”

All in all, “Death Magnetic” can be suggested to any heavy metal fan. Just don’t get it from Napster, okay?
