The men’s volleyball team got knocked out in the first round of the WSC playoffs, losing 1-3 (30-25, 16-30, 30-32, 27-30) on the road against the Orange Coast College Pirates.
The Vaqueros won the first game, but then the Pirates went on to win three straight games.
Coach Melody Parker thought that the team played well in the beginning of the match.
“We came out strong, but then we faltered, I don’t know what happened,” said Parker.
“We had them [OCC] worried.”
Parker said that she was proud of her team and that, “they could walk of the court with their heads high.”
The 2008 WSC Coach of the Year is optimistic about the future, saying that they are going to miss the sophomores who are leaving.
“We are going to regroup. We are getting some good new players for next season,” Parker said.
