City College’s polo team packed their bags and went to Lexington, Kentucky for the polo nationals and came back with third place.
Tuesday, April 1, the City College team beat three-time National qualifier Oregon State with a 15-12 score and advanced to the next round. Yukon was the next contender who defeated City College and went on to win Nationals.
“These teams from the East have been playing for years more than we have,” said Lucilla Ritterstein, City College student and member of the polo team.
Despite the loss against Yukon, the girls of the City College polo team said that they plan to make a comeback and “practice, practice, practice” to improve for next season.
