Middle East conference to feature 22 speakers, including Lois Capps

Scholars, educators and journalists will be on hand Friday and Saturday to discuss new perspectives on the Middle East at the BC Forum on West Campus.

The two-day international conference is organized by the Middle East Studies Program at City College and will feature 22 accomplished speakers from all around of the globe.

“Students are very encouraged to come,” said Dr. Manoutchehr M. Eskandari-Qajar, the event organizer. “This is the biggest conference City College has ever had on the Middle East.”

Santa Barbara U.S. representative Lois Capps is scheduled to speak at the conference dinner on Friday, however only conference presenters and invited guests will be invited to this feast.

The event is free and will be held between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on both April 18 and 19.
