Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke on West Campus for 40 minutes today to rally support for his campaign to the Whitehouse.
According to City College Campus Security, about 4,500 people came out to see the Illinois senator to get a sense of his platform, including his stance on healthcare, the war in Iraq and Washington politics. The audience count has yet to be confirmed.
“What this crowd tells me is that challenges that America faces don’t have to do with the American people,” Obama said. “The American people are not the problem-the American people are the answer.”
Full event coverage and multimedia to come Monday.
