The Associated Student Senate recently returned from a trip to Washington D.C.
They attended a student advocacy conference and the midnight House decision on the fate of Terri Schiavo.
Student Body President James Carter said watching the United States Senate work late into the night was exciting.
The students also attened a March 20 speech by Ralph Nader. Afterwards, Nader answered a question about financial aid from Student Senator Hee Eun Lee.

The student senators also met privately with California Senator Dianne Feinstein where they discussed texbook prices and the possibility of raising financial aid.
