The Santa Barbara Breakers hosted the win-less Chico Force at the Sports Pavilion Saturday evening, routing Chico 128-115.
“It was a real team effort that earned us that win,” said head coach Kirk Pickering.
Former UCLA and Phoenix Suns player Toby Bailey led the way with 35 points shooting 6-12 from beyond the three point arch. Billy Knight chipped in with 17 points and 15 rebounds off the bench for the Breakers.
“We were assertive on the offensive end,” Pickering said.
Toby Bailey has been a standout since signing with the Breakers weeks ago and now leads the team in scoring, an averaging 28 points per game. Coach Pickering insists that the Breakers are still trying to find a team rhythym.
“We’re still trying to find our identity,” Pickering said.
Santa Barbara’s record is now at an even .500 with a (3-3) record on the season.
