California community college students can now buy Adobe Systems computer software, such as Photoshop and Dreamweaver, at significantly reduced rates.
The Foundation for California Community Colleges, in conjunction with Adobe Systems and ComputerLand of Silicon Valley, is offering popular Adobe titles at roughly half the price of the academic box price.
Adobe’s Creative Suite 2.3, which includes both Photoshop and Illustrator programs, is available for $194.
Sheri York, manager of licensing programs at ComputerLand in Silicon Valley, said that students can use the software at home rather than having to rely on college computer labs.
“This is the cheapest place to get Adobe Software,” York said of the offer.
The software is available at uscollegebuy.com. Students will need to create an account and prove their academic status.
