The Lady Vaqueros took fifth place in the Monterey Bay Invitational tournement at the Black Horse Golf Course Oct. 16 to 18, which was their first time missing first place since the Western State Conference began.
“This was the toughest match,” coach Chuck Melendez said. “We’re disappointed that we did not play well.”
The Vaqueros competed against four-year universities and community colleges.
At Monterey Bay, Natalie Todd shot 84, 80, and 86, Amber Clifford fired 87, 84, and 83 respectively.The team score was 1025, just one shot above 4th place College of the Canyons.
