With his new album “Supply and Demand”, Amos Lee proves that he has classic talent in his singing and songwriting. His sound is an oxymoron of feel-good tunes and sorrowful ballads. Like in the bouncy “Sweet-pea” or in the sad song “Long line of pain.” Think of Norah Jones with sideburns and wearing a fedora. The album invokes the feeling of that unperfected life that seems to fit rather perfect. With words that form the quintessential meaning of life with all of its ups and downs. The lyrics come from someone who has either seen it or heard it all. Lee is a master at sending the velvet, scratch in his voice to the strings of the guitar and the keys of the piano. This CD has proved a good time of emotions. When there is demand for a timeless, uniquely intriguing sound, Amos Lee will supply.
