The Lady Vaqs won their fourth league match on the Sept 18th, at Alan Hancock, in Santa Maria. The team swung against 6 other teams, beating the second placed, Canyons by 14 strokes.

The College of the Canyons is the team that posed a threat to the City College win streak, but high team confidence and low scores in each of the Lady Vaqs’ match’s led to victory.

Freshman Natalie Todd shot a 3-under-par-_70 making her the lowest scorer in the tournament.

Goals for the season include, “Winning the state championship” says team coach, Chuck Melendez. elendez hopes to lead “the best team” he’s had, to their third consecutive Western State Conference Championship victory.
