Kathy McGuire, a counselor at City College since 1990, has formally announced her retirement.
“This has been such a wonderful place for me to work,” McGuire said. “Just for the number of students I have had the potential to have such an impact on.” As the articulation officer for City College, McGuire fought for a wider range of transferable classes and courses receiving credit toward four-year institutions.
Laura Castro has been announced as McGuire’s successor. Castro has been working closely with McGuire for the past three years.
