President Bush regarding the environment is one of the the top issues this election. What had Bush done to help the environment? J. Marc McGinnes, professor of Environmental Law at UCSB said, “I can think of almost nothing. I can think of nothing in fact.”
McGinnes said Bush had done things to weaken environmental law in the United States.
According to the Web site www.georgewbush.com, “The President Bush contibuted positivly to the environment. He has launched a series of climate change initiatives to improve scientific understanding and reduce emissions. In his first year in office, President Bush made a comprehensive, long-term energy policy a top priority. His goal was clear and far-sighted: to promote affordable, reliable, and secure energy supplies by increasing conservation, investing in new technologies, and exploring for new domestic sources of energy.”
