Members of the Board of Trustees and the Academic Senate will meet from 3 to 4:30 p.m. today in the Gourmet Dining Room.
The purpose of this “informal meeting” is to give senate members and trustees an opportunity to feel as part of the same team and work carefully with each other, he said. Also, senators can see from the point of view of the trustees as to where the college is heading and how to get there, Haslund added.
“It’s not intended to be a meaningless meeting,” said Dr. Peter Haslund, senate president at a senate meeting on April 14, adding that senators could discuss college issues.
This open meeting does not violate the meeting laws under the Brown Act because the agenda has been posted.
