City College students cast a total of 114 votes during the Associated Students Senate election held Apr. 12-15.
Less than one per cent of the student body turned out for the lackluster election whose results were predictable because the lack of opposition for the presidency, and the officer positions assured the six candidates an automatic win. The results are: James Carter, president, 98 votes;
Wing-Yin Leung, vice president of senate affairs, 94 votes; Dawn Houk, vice president of external affairs, 93 votes; Kwan Yi Tse, vice president of operations and finance, 92 votes; Cheung Yee Wan, student trustee, 91 votes; Hee Eun Lee, student advocate, 90 votes.
The new senators begin their new term with the first day of instruction of the Fall Semester, and inherit a chaotic senate. In recent weeks, a lack of quorum called off a meeting, and the absence of agenda posting canceled another.
