The Student Senate did not hold a formal meeting on Tuesday because senate president Omar Damacela-Friend had not prepared the agenda by Monday.
By law, the senate is not permitted to meet without an agenda, to be prepared 72 hours before the meeting.
Student senator David Jones said it was crucial for the senate to have met this week to prepare for a statewide event called “March in March” to be held in Sacramento. Students from across the state will be protesting budget cuts.
Damacela-Friend is paid by City College for his work in the senate. He was not available for comments regarding the agenda.
