The Lady Vaqueros tennis team closed their season by losing to Ventura College on Friday, 2-7.
“This year we have a stronger team than last year, but we will probably be at the bottom of our conference,” said head coach Louella Parsons.
Aliya Vildanova played well by winning her single match 6-0, 6-0.
The team’s top two players, Brittany Newson and Heather Hawke lost their doubles match, 8-5. This season they won ten out of 12 doubles sets.

Rebecca Dixon and Betsy Urman lost their doubles match, 8-1. The other double set Alexis Bird and Meagan Densherger lost, 8-5.
