CD review-Rick Ross’s ‘Trilla’

Chris Biderman and Chris Biderman

Rick Ross’ new album “Trilla” brings the heat like no other album released this year. Ross combines the talent of emcees such as Jay-Z, Lil’ Wayne, and T-Pain, just to name a few.

His first single “Speeding,” featuring R. Kelly, dropped weeks ago and still gets plenty of air time.

Ross brings his style to a whole new level by combining his familiar flows with today’s newer style of rhyming. Combined with many established producers “Trilla” Ross proves that he is just as talented as the rappers featured on the album.

“Maybach Music” featuring rap legend Jay-Z stands out as one of the albums best tracks. Jay-Z offers his incomparable skills to Ross’ record with, “…being this fly till’ the end I’m just gon’ ride.”

Ross’s “Trilla” is the best hip-hop record of the year. However, that may change when Lil’ Wayne’s highly anticipated “Carter III” drops in April.
