The presidential screening committee will be holding interviews for SBCC’s president position this Thursday.
“There hasn’t been one hiccup. Things have been running very smoothly,” said Dr.Jim Walker, search consultant from the Community College Search Services.
Walker was hired last September to help facilitate the search process of replacing current Superintendent-President John Romo next Fall.
A handful of finalists from the interviews will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees. A public forum for those interested in meeting the finalists will be scheduled before the actual finalist is chosen.
“Everything is going according as planned,” Walker said.
Romo announced his retirement for June 2008 last February.
The number of those who applied for the position, and the questions that will be asked during the interviews were kept confidential.
