The School of Media Arts is at it again. SoMA has crafted a new medium to showcase student work.
The medium is a Web site called ubSoMA, which enables media art students to network and share ideas through a program similar to a MySpace profile page. Students can create an account, upload a profile picture and post their works online immediately.
UbSoMA is a student-run, student-maintained program. Students can link and publish videos hosted by YouTube on their own personal web homepages, as well has create forums and blogs on whatever topics they choose to speak about. UbSoMA also offers an application allowing students to add friends to a “Friends” list so to send messages, create groups, and share pictures.
If you are interested in signing up to be part of the SoMA’s art sharing action, the ubSoMA website can be found at ubsoma.ning.com.
