The men’s soccer team brushed off the Alan Hancock College Bulldogs on the road with a 2-0 victory Friday in Santa Maria.
The Vaqueros improved its record to 8-4-1 overall, and 5-0-1 in conference play.
“We went ahead in the first half and never looked like losing the game,” head coach John Sisterson said.
Hugo Pizano scored the first goal for the Vaqs from an assist by James Kiffe. Kiffe continued the scoring for City College with the team’s second goal.
The Vaqueros are on a hot streak with five straight wins, and City College goalkeeper Josh Cottrell has not allowed a goal during the winning stretch.
The Vaqs’ overall goal difference is 12-0 in the last five games.
The squad goes on the road again in its next game on Friday against the Oxnard Condors at 4 p.m. in Oxnard.
