City College student, Kevin Klein was stabbed in Isla Vista on Sunday morning and is in fair condition as of Monday.
Sheriffs Deputies say a fight broke out during a large party on the corner of Camino Del Sur and Del Playa. At around 12:30 a.m. three men were stabbed.
Deputies say Klein suffered the most severe injuries including wounds to his neck and chest. He was taken to Cottage Hospital just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
Deputies arrested 21-year-old Hrachia Azizyan of Reseda and 22-year-old Akop Virabian of Van Nuys on suspicion of attempted.
“I’m not afraid in Isla Vista,” said Rebecca Cochrane, a third year at UCSB. “I would have been more scared if it was a gun shot.”
In the car that the suspects were driving, deputies found a loaded .25-caliber gun.
Deputies say it is not clear what may have motivated the attack.
