Santa Barbara Breakers basketball played two games, going 1-1 over the weekend against the Tri-Valley Titans.
Friday’s victory was a high-scoring affair ending at 149-134 behind Billy Knight’s 26 points.
Guards Toby Bailey and Fred Vinson chipped in with 22 points each to give the Breakers their second win of the year.
Unfortunately, the Breakers went without four of their starting players in Saturday’s rematch with the Titans, losing 120-124.
“This gives the younger players more playing time to see where they are on the court,” said coach Kirk Pickering.
Allan Purnell led the Breakers with 30 points, falling just short of the Titans distributive offense.
“We had an opportunity to win, but we didn’t close the deal,” said Pickering.
The Breakers record now stands at 2-3.
