I must admit, I am a sucker for the graveyard punk band, Alkaline Trio. The band due for a “B-side” CD, titled appropriately as “Remains.” For new fans, the newly released album shows how AK3 has grown over the years as musicians. As for long-time, dedicated fans, the record will give a great reflection of the band over the years and also a peek into the unseen material from the group. “Remains” is a 22-song compilation spanning the amazing 10-year career of the band. The CD includes songs that never made it to their full-length albums and covers such as “The Metro” by Berlin and “Rooftops” by Hot Water Music. The band also throws in a 25 minute documentary and various videos on a bonus DVD. The artwork provides no disappointment for fans complete with Hollywood blood and guts. “Remains” is a must own for any AK3 fan.
